The National Geospatial-Intelligence Agency (NGA) is seeking an experienced Administrative Investigator to conduct thorough and impartial investigations into allegations of employee misconduct, unethical practices, fraud, waste, and other violations of established laws and policies.
Key ResponsibilitiesAs an Administrative Investigator, your primary duties will include:
- Conducting independent investigations and inquiries, preparing detailed reports on findings related to employee behavior.
- Acting as a liaison with the Defense Criminal Investigative Service (DCIS) and other federal investigative bodies.
- Delivering fraud awareness and prevention briefings to designated audiences within the agency.
- Ensuring compliance with the NGA Office of Inspector General (OIG) guidelines and adhering to the standards set by the Council of Inspectors General on Integrity and Efficiency (CIGIE).
We offer a pathway for advancement, allowing candidates at all levels to be considered for promotion based on the quality of their experience rather than the duration of their tenure.
QualificationsTo qualify for this position, candidates must demonstrate:
- Experience with Inspector General oversight responsibilities.
- Proficiency in taking testimony and preparing comprehensive investigative reports.
- Ability to maintain confidentiality and secure sensitive information.
- Experience in conducting investigations related to legal violations and applying relevant federal standards.
A bachelor's degree in a relevant field such as Business Administration, Criminal Justice, or a related discipline is required. Alternatively, a combination of education and professional investigative experience totaling four years may be considered.
Additional InformationThis role is non-supervisory and reports directly to the Deputy Assistant Inspector General for Investigations. Selected candidates may be eligible for recruitment incentives, subject to specific eligibility criteria.
