Stealth Communications is on the lookout for several accomplished postdoctoral researchers to enhance our quantum-secure communication frameworks and systems, focusing on the convergence of post-quantum and quantum cryptography. This position merges theoretical exploration with practical experimentation on Stealth's extensive quantum optical testbed, which encompasses both terrestrial and subsea assets, driving the frontiers of cryptographic innovation.

This role necessitates security clearance and is conducted onsite.

Qualifications:

  • Mandatory: An active, transferable TS/SCI CI Poly U.S. government-issued security clearance prior to commencement.
  • PhD in Quantum Cryptography, Quantum Information Theory, or a closely related discipline.
  • A minimum of 5 years of post-doctoral experience in a competitive quantum cryptography/information research environment.
  • Extensive knowledge in lattice-based cryptography, advanced encryption techniques, and signature schemes.
  • Familiarity with semi-definite programming and numerical optimization methods.
  • Experience in fine-grained cryptography and impossibility results.
  • Proficient in designing and analyzing homomorphic, attribute-based, functional encryption, and signature schemes (e.g., ring, group, threshold).
  • Published works in the field of cryptography.
  • Comprehensive understanding of TCP/IP.
  • Proficient in C++ and ASM programming languages.
  • Advanced technical knowledge in application and hardware security.
  • Preferred Qualifications:
  • -- Advanced technical knowledge in Electromagnetism and quantum algorithms/materials.
  • -- Experience with quantum optics and laboratory apparatus, including SPDC entanglement sources, single-photon detectors, and Bell-state measurement systems.
  • -- Expertise in low and room temperature qubit measurements, including MKS systems.
  • -- Proficiency in cryogenics, lithography, and fiber optics.
  • Experience with computer-aided design (CAD) for advanced quantum systems.
  • Familiarity with NSTISSAM TEMPEST/1-92 and CNSSAM TEMPEST/01-02 specifications.
  • Ability to effectively communicate both technical and non-technical information to diverse audiences, both verbally and in writing.

Responsibilities:

  • Conduct advanced research in lattice-based cryptography, emphasizing its potential to secure quantum communications against quantum threats.
  • Design, implement, and evaluate cryptographic protocols utilizing non-standard lattice assumptions, ensuring adherence to the highest security standards.
  • Lead the integration of cryptographic primitives into Stealth's Quantum Framework, optimizing for both security and efficiency.
  • Prototype, test, and deploy lattice-based cryptographic solutions in operational quantum environments.
  • Collaborate with academic institutions, cryptographers, and auditors to validate and refine innovative cryptographic methodologies.
  • Implement cryptography specifications into secure, production-level code within the Quantum Framework.
  • Provide expert support for the integration of quantum-resistant protocols across Stealth's technology stack.
  • Thoroughly document research findings, code, and APIs, contributing to the academic and practical discourse on quantum-resistant cryptography.
  • Demonstrate the ability to work independently as well as collaboratively within a diverse and multidisciplinary team, including scientists, engineers, business professionals, and ex-military personnel.

Compensation begins at $250,000 with an additional Sign-On Bonus of $250,000.
