Stealth Communications is in search of multiple postdoctoral researchers to propel our quantum-secure communication protocols and systems, situated at the crossroads of post-quantum and quantum cryptography. This position merges theoretical inquiry with practical experimentation on Stealth's quantum optical testbed, which encompasses extensive land and subsea assets, thereby pushing the frontiers of cryptographic innovation.

This role mandates security clearance and is primarily based onsite.

Qualifications:

  • Mandatory: An active, transferable TS/SCI CI Poly U.S. government-issued security clearance prior to commencement.
  • PhD in Quantum Cryptography, Quantum Information Theory, or a closely related discipline.
  • A minimum of 5 years post-doctoral experience in a competitive quantum cryptography/information research environment.
  • Extensive expertise in lattice-based cryptography, advanced encryption, and signature schemes.
  • Proficient understanding of semi-definite programming and numerical optimization techniques.
  • Experience with fine-grained cryptography and impossibility results.
  • Experience in designing and analyzing homomorphic, attribute-based, functional encryption, and signature schemes (e.g., ring, group, threshold).
  • Published contributions in the field of cryptography.
  • Thorough knowledge of TCP/IP.
  • Proficiency in C++ and ASM programming languages.
  • Advanced technical knowledge in application and hardware security.
  • Highly preferred:
  • -- Advanced technical knowledge in Electromagnetism and quantum algorithms/materials.
  • -- Experience with quantum optics and laboratory apparatus, including SPDC entanglement sources, single-photon detectors, and Bell-state measurement systems.
  • -- Expertise in low and room temperature qubit measurements, including MKS systems.
  • -- Proficiency in cryogenics, lithography, and fiber optics.
  • Experience with computer-aided design (CAD) for advanced quantum systems.
  • Familiarity with NSTISSAM TEMPEST/1-92 and CNSSAM TEMPEST/01-02 specifications.
  • Ability to effectively communicate technical and non-technical information both verbally and in writing to diverse audiences.

Responsibilities:

  • Conduct advanced research in lattice-based cryptography, focusing on its potential to secure quantum communications and withstand quantum attacks.
  • Design, implement, and analyze cryptographic protocols utilizing non-standard lattice assumptions, ensuring compliance with the highest security standards.
  • Lead the integration of cryptographic primitives into Stealth's Quantum Framework, optimizing for both security and efficiency.
  • Prototype, test, and deploy lattice-based cryptographic solutions in operational quantum environments.
  • Collaborate with academic institutions, cryptographers, and auditors to validate and refine cutting-edge cryptographic methodologies.
  • Implement cryptography specifications into secure, production-level code within the Quantum Framework.
  • Provide expert support for the integration of quantum-resistant protocols across Stealth's technology stack.
  • Document research findings, code, and APIs comprehensively, contributing to the academic and practical discourse on quantum-resistant cryptography.
  • Demonstrate capability for independent work as well as collaboration within a diverse and multidisciplinary team, including scientists, engineers, business professionals, and ex-military personnel.

Compensation begins at $250,000, along with a Sign-On Bonus of $250,000.
