Job Opportunity

We are seeking a skilled and dedicated individual to join our team as a Furniture Delivery Assistant. As a key member of our delivery team, you will play a critical role in ensuring our customers receive their furniture purchases in a timely and professional manner.

Key Responsibilities:

  • Work safely in a fast-paced environment, adhering to all safety protocols and procedures.
  • Enhance the customer's shopping experience by providing exceptional service and support.
  • Meet and exceed demanding standards, consistently striving to go above and beyond customer expectations.
  • Ability to multitask in a customer-focused environment, handling multiple tasks and responsibilities with ease.
  • Consistently interact with customers in a courteous and professional manner, resolving any issues or concerns in a timely and effective manner.
  • Ability to handle stressful situations with professionalism and poise, maintaining a positive attitude and demeanor at all times.
  • Learn and develop skills to assemble furniture in a customer's home, as well as minor touch-up and furniture repair.
  • Ability to inspect, wrap, pack, and load furniture, ensuring it is properly secured and protected during transport.
  • Consistently make good decisions with minimal supervision, taking initiative and ownership of tasks and responsibilities.
  • Ability to work effectively as part of a team, collaborating with colleagues to achieve common goals and objectives.

Requirements:

  • Two years of delivery experience, with a strong focus on customer service and satisfaction.
  • Excellent customer service skills, with the ability to work effectively with customers from diverse backgrounds and cultures.
  • Ability to work safely in a fast-paced environment, adhering to all safety protocols and procedures.
  • Must be able to work weekend and evening shifts, as well as flexible hours as needed.
  • Must be comfortable reading maps and operating GPS units, with a strong sense of direction and navigation.
  • High School Diploma or equivalent, with a strong focus on customer service and communication skills.

Driver Requirements:

  • Must have a valid driver's license, with a clean driving record and a strong focus on safety.
  • Must pass a Motor Vehicle Record (MVR) investigation and all Department of Transportation (DOT) required pre-employment criteria.
  • Ability to assess truck volume allotment to accurately cubic a truck, ensuring efficient and effective use of resources.
  • Experience driving 24-26ft straight/box trucks, with a strong focus on safety and customer satisfaction.

Physical Requirements:

  • Ability to consistently lift/move furniture, bedding, and accessories in excess of 100lbs, with a strong focus on safety and ergonomics.
  • Continuously lift, lower, push, pull all sizes of furniture up to and in excess of 100lbs, with a strong focus on safety and customer satisfaction.
  • Deliver furniture to customers in a variety of outdoor weather conditions, with a strong focus on safety and customer satisfaction.
