Community Housing Advocate

As a Housing Choice Voucher (HCV) Specialist at Raleigh Housing Authority, you will play a critical role in ensuring that low-income families have access to safe, quality, and affordable housing. Your primary responsibility will be to manage an assigned caseload of HCV participants, conducting annual recertifications, interim recertifications, and participant briefings.
You will also process and monitor participant moves to new dwellings, determine housing assistance payments, and tenant rent calculations. To excel in this position, you will need to possess strong analytical and problem-solving skills, as well as excellent communication and interpersonal skills.
A bachelor's degree in business administration, sociology, psychology, or a related field, along with 3-5 years of experience in public housing administration or equivalent combination of training and experience, is required. HCV Certification is a plus.
