Safe Swim is a dedicated, community-oriented swim lesson provider seeking passionate educators to become part of our team. Although we are a small business, our mission is significant: to ensure swimming is accessible to everyone.
Our approach sets us apart from conventional swim schools. We provide affordable lessons in a diverse environment, promoting multilingual communication and instruction. Our curriculum focuses on survival skills, utilizing trauma-informed methods and a play-based learning framework.
No prior swimming experience is necessary; we prioritize hiring educators and are willing to train you in all aquatic skills, including swimming if you currently do not know how.
We are dedicated to fostering your health and wellbeing, creating a respectful workplace, and supporting your professional growth.

These roles are part-time. While our peak season runs from March to September, we do have a limited number of year-round positions available for suitable candidates.

As a swim instructor, your primary responsibility will be ensuring the safety of all participants while teaching swimming skills according to our established curriculum. You will help build water confidence in your students, encouraging them to reach their full potential. Regular communication with students and fellow team members is expected. We value individuals who are open to feedback and committed to continuous learning. In this role, you will report to the Deck Supervisor or Site Supervisor during your shifts and provide support as needed throughout the pool area.
We offer a rewarding and enjoyable work environment, perfect for those who love teaching and being around water. Paid training is provided. This part-time position requires availability for afternoon, evening, and weekend shifts.

Qualifications:
- Compassionate approach towards infants, children, and adults
- Ability to work in water for extended periods
- Strong communication skills
- Positive attitude and willingness to learn
- Capability to maintain focus in a dynamic environment
- Commitment to working through specified periods, including afternoons and weekends
- Bilingual or multilingual candidates (any combination of English, Spanish, Portuguese) are preferred, with other languages welcomed
Certifications: Please note that multiple certifications are required for this position, many of which can be obtained during training. Some certifications will be covered by Safe Swim, while others may require personal investment. We can assist with prepayment for instructor-paid certifications if financial assistance is needed upfront.
