Job Title: Water Chemist III

We are seeking a highly skilled Water Chemist III to join our team at the City of New Orleans, LA. As a key member of our laboratory operations, you will be responsible for performing advanced and complex chemical, bacteriological, and physical tests.

Responsibilities:
  • Conduct laboratory tests and analyses to ensure the quality and safety of our water supply
  • Develop and implement new testing procedures and protocols as needed
  • Collaborate with other laboratory staff to ensure accurate and timely results
  • Provide technical guidance and support to other departments as needed
Requirements:
  • Bachelor's degree in Chemistry or Chemical Engineering from an accredited college or university
  • Three years of full-time professional experience as an analytical chemist working in the fields of environmental analysis, gas chromatography, atomic absorption, or mass spectroscopy
  • At least two years of experience as a mass spectrometer operator
