Job Description

Job Summary: We are seeking a highly skilled Capital Program Manager to join our team in New Orleans, LA. The successful candidate will be responsible for developing, implementing, and managing plant upgrade projects and collections system projects for Veolia Environnement SA.

Key Responsibilities:
  • Project Management: Organize and direct all construction-related activities on a construction project to ensure project is constructed in accordance with design, budget, and schedule.
  • Team Leadership: Plan, coordinate, and supervise activities of all company and contracted personnel on assigned projects.
  • Contract Management: Authorize and approve all selecting, hiring, and overseeing the work done by contractors, purchase requisitions, change requests, etc.
  • Financial Management: Monitor budgets, schedules, cost reports, and job progress and review with team members on a weekly basis.
  • Client Interface: Act as primary client contact for all project-field activities.
  • Documentation: Maintain official project log and documentation files.
  • Safety and Compliance: Assist with implementation and interpretation of safety programs and oversee project environmental regulation compliance.
Requirements:
  • Education: Bachelor's Degree in Engineering, Construction Management, or equivalent project-related work experience.
  • Experience: 7-10 years of experience in engineering design and construction of water and wastewater treatment systems, project management, cost estimating, business development, and construction management.
  • Skills: Excellent communication, organizational, supervisory, and planning skills; in-depth knowledge and experience with all aspects of construction; company policies, procedures, and standards.
Working Conditions:

The Capital Program Manager will work in a fast-paced environment, with varying work conditions depending on the project. The position may require travel, and the employee must have a valid driver's license and a safe driving record.
