Job Description

Counseling In Schools is a dynamic community-based organization dedicated to promoting the emotional and social growth of children. Our mission is to equip children, families, teachers, and administrators with the tools necessary to prevent and cope with the challenges they face. We are seeking a Community School Director to join our team.

Key Responsibilities:
  • Manage the on-site CIS team, including running team meetings, approving timesheets, and acting as a liaison to CIS Clinical, Program Director, and Admin teams.
  • Create, coordinate, and attend meetings with stakeholders, including PTAs, student leaders, parent coordinators, and school leadership teams.
  • Collect, analyze, and use data to inform decision making and program implementation.
  • Develop a resource database and share it with families through a newsletter.
  • Organize school-wide initiatives, including neighborhood family fairs and mental health initiatives.
  • Coordinate family outreach for school visiting providers and share information through faculty presentations and parent summits.
  • Research and identify community resources and assist families in accessing them.

Requirements:
  • 5-7 years of experience working with young people in in-school and/or out-of-school settings.
  • A Master's Degree in Social Work, Education, or a related field.
