As a Community Support Specialist on our ITCD team at Ozarks Healthcare, you will play a vital role in supporting individuals with dual-diagnosis. Your primary responsibility will be to provide daily, direct, and indirect services to an assigned caseload, empowering them to develop skills, access resources, and learn to self-manage their illnesses.
Key Responsibilities- Teach, model, and practice skills with individuals to increase self-sufficiency and independence.
- Provide daily support, meeting with individuals where they are at to assist with daily living skills, educate them on diagnosis and treatment, and access services and resources as needed.
- Collaborate with individuals to address immediate needs, including financial assistance, medical assistance, housing assistance, crisis services, and basic necessities like food, clothing, and shelter.
To be successful in this role, you will need a Bachelor's Degree in psychology, sociology, social work, or a related mental health field. Your strong communication and interpersonal skills will enable you to build trust with individuals and provide effective support.
