Job Summary

We are seeking a highly detail-oriented and organized Underwriting Assistant to support our MMB Underwriting team. As an Underwriting Assistant, you will play a critical role in ensuring the quality processing of new business and renewal accounts. You will work closely with Underwriters and Sr. UAs to process quotes, binders, and endorsements, and maintain accurate records.

Key Responsibilities
  • Process quotes, binders, and endorsements under the direction of an Underwriter or Sr. UA
  • Follow up with brokers on outstanding subjectivities and inspection contact information
  • Review, finalize, and issue drafted policies
  • Process BORs and maintain Underwriting files
  • Process non-renewals and cancellation letters
  • Assist with special projects
Requirements
  • College degree preferred
  • Proficiency in Microsoft Office Suite
  • Excellent verbal and written communication skills
  • Ability to learn new systems quickly
  • Ability to handle multiple tasks in a fast-paced environment
  • Strong attention to detail and time management skills
