Job Description

We're seeking a detail-oriented Underwriting Assistant to support our MMB Underwriting team in the day-to-day servicing and processing of new business and renewal accounts. As a key member of our team, you will ensure quality processing throughout the life cycle of a policy.

Key Responsibilities:
  • Process quotes, binders, and endorsements under the direction of an Underwriter or Sr. UA
  • Follow up with brokers on outstanding subjectivities and inspection contact information
  • Review, finalize, and issue drafted policies
  • Process BORs and maintain Underwriting files
  • Process non-renewals and cancellation letters
  • Assist with special projects
Requirements:
  • College degree preferred
  • Proficiency in Microsoft Office Suite
  • Excellent verbal and written communication skills
  • Ability to learn new systems quickly
  • Ability to handle a variety of tasks in a fast-paced, customer-centric environment
  • Strong attention to detail and understanding of its importance to our business
  • Strong time management skills
