Job Summary

We are seeking a highly skilled and experienced Mentorship Program Supervisor to join our team at Prescott HR. As a key member of our organization, you will be responsible for leading and managing our mentorship program, ensuring the highest level of support and guidance for our participants.

Key Responsibilities
  • Lead and manage a team of mentors, providing guidance and support to ensure the success of our program.
  • Develop and implement strategies to strengthen the support of our participants, working closely with our team to identify and address any challenges or concerns.
  • Act as a liaison between our organization and external stakeholders, including hotels and other service providers.
  • Deliver program guidelines and foster a positive working environment, ensuring the safety and well-being of all participants.
  • Onboard new mentors and participants, providing comprehensive training and support to ensure a smooth transition.
  • Coach and train mentors on best practices and program policies, ensuring they have the skills and knowledge needed to succeed.
  • Participate in interview panels for prospective new mentors, ensuring we attract and select the best candidates for our program.
  • Provide 24/7 on-call support for participants, crisis intervention, and real-time management, ensuring our participants receive the support they need, when they need it.
  • Approve grocery lists and take participants grocery shopping, providing essential support and services to our participants.
  • Provide payment for laundry and other essential services, ensuring our participants have access to the resources they need.
  • Attend organization training, meetings, and other mandates as requested, staying up-to-date on the latest best practices and industry developments.
Qualifications
  • Education in human services, social work, business, education, or a related field, or other combinations of relevant education and experience may be considered with a minimum of at least three (3) years of combined education and experience as a mentor.
  • Must have a current state-issued driver's license and current auto insurance on their vehicle that meets the MD state minimum requirements.
  • Experience personally and professionally with youth who have had engagement in the criminal and child welfare systems.
  • Experience leading, developing, and supporting a high-performing, results-oriented team.
  • Demonstrated skills in strategic and operational planning, finance, capacity-building, and performance management.
  • Possess creativity and a growth mindset.
  • Strong technology skills, including Microsoft Office Suite, fax machines, photocopiers, and other standard office equipment.
  • Experience with guidelines to satisfy HIPAA compliance.
  • Excellent problem-solving skills with demonstrated ability to investigate and identify system issues and problems.
  • Ability to effectively leverage internal and external resources; and work collaboratively with a team.
Physical Requirements

At times, there may be sedentary work. May be required to periodically lift up to 51lbs, moving in various positions. Sedentary work involves sitting most of the time. Jobs are sedentary if walking and standing are required only occasionally and all other sedentary criteria are met.

A. Reaching: Extending hand(s) and arm(s) in any direction.

B. Fingering: Picking, pinching, typing, or otherwise working, primarily with fingers rather than with the whole hand or arm as in handling.

C. Grasping: Applying pressure to an object with the fingers and palm.

D. Talking: Expressing or exchanging ideas by means of the spoken word. Those activities in which they must convey detailed or important spoken instructions to other workers accurately, loudly, or quickly.

E. Hearing: Perceiving the nature of sounds at normal speaking levels or without correction. Ability to receive detailed information through oral communication, and make fine discriminations in sound.

The worker is required to have close visual acuity to perform an activity such as:

driving a motor vehicle, preparing and analyzing data and figures; transcribing; viewing a computer terminal; expansive reading; visual inspection involving small defects, small parts and/or operation of machines (including inspection); using measurement devices; and/or assembly of fabrication of parts at distances close to the eyes.

The worker is not substantially exposed to adverse environmental conditions (such as in typical office or administrative work).

This is a Non-exempt position under The Fair Labor Standards Act
