The ideal candidate will utilize technical training and interpret government-mandated nutritional standards in the healthcare industry to develop healthy menu implementation plans.

Key Responsibilities

  • Participate in planning and executing consistent nutrition and patient communications and strategies.
  • Serve as a nutrition/patient resource across a multi-site component or highly complex healthcare facility.
  • Create and manage a network of thought leaders to support nutrition issues and strategies across the component.
  • Direct patient food service activities, complying with established standards, including the patient feeding program and delivery of trays to patients.
  • Own the 'Adopt a Floor' program and ensure rounding is conducted on patients/departments.
  • Oversee the diet office and the service ambassador program.
  • Manage and control resources and materials to ensure quality, adequacy of supply, and cost control within budgetary guidelines.
  • Directly responsible for adhering to all operational metric expectations.
  • Record safety and sanitation compliance.
  • Build rapport and have professionally productive relationships with all hospital constituents.

Qualifications

  • Bachelor's degree or equivalent experience required.
  • Requires 3+ years of Healthcare food service management experience.
  • Must be a self-starter with the ability to work with minimal supervision.
  • Experience managing, motivating, and engaging a large workforce.
  • Proficiency with Microsoft Office programs required.
  • Excellent interpersonal, customer services, and organizational skills required.
