Job Overview

As the Chief Cybersecurity Officer at ISI Enterprises, you will be responsible for leading the charge in protecting our digital infrastructure and client systems within the Defense Industrial Base. This pivotal position emphasizes the management of our cybersecurity initiatives across both cloud and on-premise environments, encompassing areas such as threat intelligence, incident response, vulnerability management, and advanced threat detection, all while ensuring compliance with NIST SP and CMMC standards.

Key Responsibilities:

  • Address cybersecurity needs for both ISI clients and internal operations.
  • Provide strategic advice to senior leadership regarding risk assessments and security posture.
  • Establish and uphold comprehensive security policies and procedures at the enterprise level.
  • Assess the security implications of new technologies and upgrades.
  • Oversee the monitoring of security data to maintain organizational awareness.
  • Secure and manage resources necessary for achieving IT security objectives.
  • Formulate a cybersecurity strategy that aligns with business goals and compliance requirements.
  • Collaborate with engineering teams to ensure security is integrated into cloud-based software platforms.
  • Implement a governance framework for cybersecurity that includes oversight and reporting structures.
  • Ensure cybersecurity considerations are included in continuity planning.
  • Evaluate development efforts to ensure security measures are properly implemented.
  • Engage with external regulators to ensure compliance with industry standards.
  • Develop a comprehensive cyber risk management framework.
  • Maintain compliance with NIST and CMMC guidelines, focusing on audit readiness.
  • Lead initiatives to achieve necessary CMMC certification levels.
  • Support engineering teams in meeting FedRamp certification requirements.
  • Coordinate with federal oversight bodies regarding cybersecurity policies.
  • Design training programs to enhance employee understanding of cybersecurity responsibilities.
  • Promote security awareness and integrate sound security principles into organizational goals.
  • Provide input on cybersecurity requirements for procurement documents.
  • Establish an Incident Response Program that aligns with cybersecurity objectives.
  • Demonstrate strong analytical and problem-solving abilities, especially under pressure.


Qualifications:

  • U.S. Citizenship is required.
  • Active TS/SCI clearance is mandatory.
  • Bachelor's Degree in Computer Science, Information Security, or a related field, or equivalent experience.
  • 8+ years in a senior management role within IT or cybersecurity, particularly in the Defense Industrial Base.
  • 15+ years of relevant experience in Information Technology and Cybersecurity.
  • CISSP, CISM, or similar certifications are preferred.
  • Experience with cybersecurity frameworks such as NIST SP and CMMC 2.0.
  • Familiarity with federal contracting and DoD cybersecurity requirements.
  • Strong knowledge of NIST 800-53, NIST 800-37, and CMMC Levels 1, 2, and 3.
  • Expertise in advanced persistent threats and forensic investigations.
  • Experience in environments governed by FAR and DFARS.
  • Proven ability to interact with U.S. government auditors regarding compliance.
  • Strong leadership and decision-making skills.
  • Experience managing cross-functional teams and projects.
  • In-depth understanding of the cyber threat landscape.
  • Exceptional knowledge of change management and performance evaluation.
  • Familiarity with cloud security frameworks.
  • Proven ability to develop security programs that meet NIST and CMMC standards.
  • Strong knowledge of risk management processes.
  • Expertise in supply chain security and risk management policies.
  • Knowledge of laws and governance relevant to cybersecurity.
  • In-depth understanding of Controlled Unclassified Information (CUI) protections.
  • Knowledge of network security architecture and principles.
  • Understanding of business continuity and disaster recovery plans.
  • Knowledge of data backup and recovery in regulated environments.
  • Familiarity with penetration testing principles.
  • Ability to create policies that reflect security objectives.
  • Exhibit professionalism and excellent customer relationship skills.
  • Strong organizational and interpersonal skills.
  • Comfortable in a fast-paced environment.
  • Adept at solving complex strategic business challenges.

  • Master's Degree in Cybersecurity with a focus on government security requirements.
