The One 23 Group is in search of a Senior Cybersecurity Compliance Officer, working remotely and ideally located in the Washington D.C. metropolitan area.

The Senior Cybersecurity Compliance Officer will oversee cybersecurity management, providing guidance and support to ensure the ongoing compliance of DHS Management Information Systems with relevant standards, including those set by DHS, the National Institute of Standards and Technology (NIST), and other applicable federal regulations.

Key Responsibilities:

  • Utilizes extensive knowledge of cybersecurity concepts, practices, and procedures to ensure secure integration and operation of all systems.
  • Implements the NIST SP 800 series, particularly focusing on NIST's Risk Management Framework and FedRAMP.
  • Demonstrates specialized knowledge of financial audit standards, classified system IA requirements, and Privacy Act regulations.
  • Evaluates system, network, or infrastructure security controls against standards such as FISMA, FIPS, and NIST guidelines.
  • Possesses expertise in the following areas:
    • Execution, assessment, and analysis of vulnerability scanning, with knowledge of operating systems and networks (LAN and WAN).
    • Principles of information security and assurance, including Defense-in-depth strategies and supporting technologies.
    • Security measures for applications, databases, and networks.
  • Relies on extensive experience and sound judgment to achieve objectives.
  • Independently resolves issues promptly and thoroughly.
  • Experience in supporting, monitoring, testing, and troubleshooting hardware and software IA challenges.
  • Ability to assess and evaluate current and emerging security threats in operational contexts.
  • Exhibits outstanding problem-solving and analytical skills, capable of producing clear observations and conclusions based on data and interviews.
  • Collaborates effectively with multiple stakeholders to identify optimal solutions.

Qualifications:

  • Master's degree with 6 years of experience in Cybersecurity and Federal Information Security Modernization Act (FISMA), or a bachelor's degree with 8 years of experience, or a total of 10 years of relevant experience.
  • Must reside within the Washington D.C. Metropolitan area.
  • Clearance Requirement: Ability to obtain a Public Trust security clearance.
  • Professional Certifications: Must possess one of the following certifications:
    • Certified Information Systems Security Professional (CISSP)
    • Certified Information Security Manager (CISM)
    • Certified Ethical Hacker (CEH)
    • CompTIA Advanced Security Practitioner (CASP)
    • Systems Security Certified Practitioner (SSCP)
    • Certified Information Systems Auditor (CISA)
