We are seeking a skilled Respiratory Care Practitioner to join our team at Children's Health (Dallas) in a per diem / prn capacity. As a key member of our healthcare team, you will be responsible for providing high-quality patient care and contributing to the delivery of exceptional patient and family experiences.
Key Responsibilities- Direct Patient Care: Provide respiratory care services to patients, including mechanical ventilation, aerosol therapy, pulmonary hygiene, suctioning, oxygen therapy, and inhaled gases.
- Documentation and Communication: Accurately and clearly document patient status, patient response, and respiratory practitioner interventions. Communicate effectively with patients, families, and healthcare team members.
- Health Education and Promotion: Provide and reinforce health teaching with patients and families to promote healthy behaviors and outcomes.
- Collaboration and Teamwork: Participate in multidisciplinary treatment teams and contribute to the development of professional and educational activities.
- Education and Experience: At least 2 years of job-related experience. A two-year associate's degree or equivalent experience is required; a four-year bachelor's degree or equivalent experience is preferred.
- Certifications and Licenses: Basic Life Support for Healthcare Providers certification and active Texas license required. RRT recognized by the National Board of Respiratory Care (NBRC) is also required.
