NYU Langone Health is seeking a skilled Nursing Attendant to join our team in the Central Nursing Service, working evening shifts. As a Nursing Attendant, you will play a vital role in providing direct and indirect patient care to assigned patients under the supervision of the Registered Professional Nurse.
Key Responsibilities:- Assist in implementing the nursing process by performing direct and indirect patient care to assigned patients.
- Maintain an orderly and safe patient care environment and unit.
- Orient patients to the hospital environment.
- Prepare bedside units to receive patients.
- Escort patients as necessary and remain with them until they have left the building.
- High School Diploma or equivalent required.
- Graduate of Certified Nursing Attendant program or minimum 6 months relevant experience.
- Working knowledge of English is evident in verbal, reading, and writing abilities.
- Basic Life Support Certification.
- Strong customer service and communication skills.
- Ability to effectively communicate with all levels of the organization.
