Job SummaryWe are seeking a skilled Licensed Practical Nurse to provide assistance to public health clinics throughout District 4. As a Public Health Licensed Practical Nurse 1 or 2, you will be responsible for administering immunizations, performing annual school and daycare immunization audits, and completing quarterly reports. You will also participate in health fairs and educational programs, perform TB screenings, and respond to public health emergencies.
Responsibilities- Administer immunizations to patients of all ages according to established guidelines and procedures.
- Perform annual school and daycare immunization audits to ensure compliance with public health regulations.
- Complete quarterly reports to track public health metrics and identify areas for improvement.
- Participate in health fairs and educational programs to promote public health awareness and education.
- Perform TB screenings and administer PPD skin tests in clinic and outreach events.
- Respond to public health emergencies and participate in emergency preparedness and response efforts.
- Use computer technology to collect, store, and retrieve data to inform public health decisions.
- Participate in program planning and development to improve public health outcomes.
- Communicate effectively with patients, families, and healthcare teams using proper terminology and cultural proficiency.
- Adhere to the organization's policies and procedures to ensure high-quality patient care.
- Vocational/Technical degree in licensed practical nursing from an accredited college.
- Current Georgia license to practice as a Licensed Practical Nurse.
- CPR certification.
- Completion of all necessary orientation and training for Public Health LPN.
- For Public Health Licensed Practical Nurse Level 2, two years of LPN public health experience is required.
