Job Summary

We are seeking a skilled and experienced Line Cook to join our team at Fat Calf Brasserie. As a Line Cook, you will be responsible for preparing and cooking a variety of menu items to a high standard, while maintaining a clean and safe working environment.

Key Responsibilities
  • Prepare and cook menu items to order, using a variety of cooking techniques and ingredients.
  • Set up and stock stations with all necessary food items, supplies, and equipment.
  • Assist with food preparation, including chopping, slicing, and dicing ingredients.
  • Operate kitchen equipment, including ovens, stoves, and dishwashers.
  • Maintain a clean and safe working environment, including cleaning and sanitizing equipment and utensils.
  • Work effectively as part of a team to ensure efficient service and high-quality food.
  • Communicate effectively with colleagues and management to ensure smooth service and resolve any issues that may arise.
  • Participate in inventory management and ordering of supplies and ingredients.
  • Assist with maintenance and repair of kitchen equipment and facilities.
Requirements
  • High school diploma or equivalent required.
  • Culinary certification preferred.
  • Food Handler's Safety Certification required.
  • Ability to work a flexible schedule, including evenings, weekends, and holidays.
  • Passion for food and commitment to providing high-quality service.
  • Strong communication and interpersonal skills.
  • Basic understanding of kitchen operations and procedures.
  • Ability to work in a fast-paced environment and multitask effectively.
  • Ability to lift 30+ pounds and stand for long periods of time.
