Overview:
The Salvation Army Eastern Territory is seeking a highly skilled and compassionate Warming Center Supervisor to join our team at the Watertown Corps. As a key member of our human services team, you will be responsible for managing the operations of the Warming Center, providing services to guests using trauma-informed principles, and ensuring a safe and supportive environment.
Key Responsibilities:- Manage the day-to-day operations of the Warming Center, including supervising staff and coordinating services.
- Provide services to guests using trauma-informed principles, ensuring their dignity and respect are maintained at all times.
- Coordinate and delegate staff duties to ensure effective operation of program services.
- Make field decisions, read, interpret, and implement policies, and provide day, evening, or overnight coverage, including weekends and holidays.
- Responsible for the supervision of guests and the general management and upkeep of the program.
- High school diploma or GED required, and two years of experience working in human services required.
- Prior experience working with individuals experiencing homelessness and/or working in a team lead role is preferred.
- Valid driver's license that meets The Salvation Army insurance requirements.
- Knowledge of social service resources in the local community.
- At least one year of experience working in an office environment, with clerical skills, including phone etiquette, filing, and computer skills.
