Job Title: LPN-Out Patient

At Highland Hospital, we are seeking a skilled and compassionate LPN-Out Patient to join our team in the Highland Women's Health department.

Job Summary:

The LPN-Out Patient will work under the supervision of a Registered Nurse or Physician to provide high-quality patient care and support. This role will involve guiding patients through the appointment process, providing supervised nursing services, and documenting patient symptoms, questions, or concerns.

Key Responsibilities:
  • Assist patients through the appointment process and provide supervised nursing services during care.
  • Document patient symptoms, questions, or concerns and relay this information to the RN or provider for determination of action needed.
  • Participate in care planning discussions based on RN, MD, or NP-determined urgency of care needs.
  • Triage emergency care situations and schedule acute care appointments to maximize patient care opportunities.
  • Provide assistance to physicians and nurse practitioners for patient care follow-up needs.
Requirements:
  • Fulfilled the educational requirements to be an LPN in NYS.
  • 3-5 years of experience in OB/GYN experience preferred.
  • Current NYS LPN license and current BLS.
