Job Summary

AmeriCorps is seeking a highly skilled and experienced Supervisory Criminal Investigator to join our team. As a key member of our organization, you will be responsible for conducting complex investigations, analyzing financial and statistical reports, and evaluating grant and contract documentation.

Key Responsibilities
  • Conduct thorough and objective investigations into various matters, including criminal, civil, and administrative cases.
  • Analyze and evaluate financial and statistical reports to identify trends and areas of concern.
  • Develop and implement strategies to prevent and detect fraud, waste, and abuse.
  • Collaborate with internal stakeholders to ensure effective communication and coordination of investigative efforts.
  • Provide guidance and oversight to junior investigators to ensure adherence to established protocols and procedures.
Requirements
  • Minimum of one year of specialized experience in conducting complex investigations, analyzing financial and statistical reports, and evaluating grant and contract documentation.
  • Proven track record of successfully leading investigative teams and developing effective strategies to prevent and detect fraud, waste, and abuse.
  • Excellent analytical and problem-solving skills, with the ability to think critically and make sound judgments.
  • Strong communication and interpersonal skills, with the ability to work effectively with diverse stakeholders.
  • Ability to maintain confidentiality and handle sensitive information with discretion.
Preferred Qualifications
  • Satisfactory completion of the basic Criminal Investigator Training Program (CITP) at the Federal Law Enforcement Training Center (FLETC) or an equivalent federal course.
  • Experience working in a law enforcement or investigative capacity, with a strong understanding of relevant laws, regulations, and procedures.
  • Knowledge of financial and statistical analysis tools and techniques, with the ability to apply them in a practical and effective manner.
