PRN Hospitalist Advanced Practice Provider

We are seeking a skilled Advanced Practice Provider (APP) to become a vital member of our Hospitalist team at IHC Health Services, Inc. in a PRN capacity, providing care as needed.
Please consider this opportunity if you possess 1-2 years of experience in Hospitalist or Emergency Medicine.
Key Responsibilities:
This role is responsible for delivering patient care and fulfilling other duties as permitted by licensure and outlined in the relevant Credentialing and Privileging documentation.
Clinical Responsibilities:
Conduct thorough patient assessments to gather complete and accurate clinical information and medical history. Order necessary tests and examinations to obtain additional data essential for comprehensive patient care.
Based on evaluations, identify patient needs and formulate a care plan. Analyze patient care tests and examinations to acquire critical information to direct treatment.
Administer patient treatment (and supervise treatment provided by others) including appropriate prescriptive practices to achieve optimal clinical outcomes.
Leverage advanced specialty knowledge to ensure that care is appropriate, effective, timely, and cost-efficient.Perform diagnostic and/or therapeutic procedures as defined by Scope of Practice.
Ensure timely and accurate documentation of clinical care. Code and bill according to established protocols and procedures. Maintain detailed and complete records that comply with relevant standards and regulations.
Educational Responsibilities:
Facilitate and/or coordinate educational initiatives to enhance the knowledge of patients, their families, and other stakeholders. Provide tailored instruction based on patient needs to support ongoing care.
Train staff in areas of clinical expertise and provide educational opportunities for students to enhance their clinical knowledge and ensure safe patient care.
Stay informed about current trends in healthcare practice and engage in continuing medical education to maintain optimal clinical knowledge and effective patient care skills.
Consultation and Collaboration:
Coordinate and collaborate with other healthcare providers to enhance patient care efforts.
Communicate clinical information promptly, accurately, and thoroughly to other members of the care team.
May engage with other providers to effectively share expertise in practice.
Research Contributions:
May engage in research activities and utilize evidence-based practices to enhance quality patient care, develop protocols, and establish best practice standards for the designated patient population.
Minimum Qualifications:
Current state licensure as an Advanced Practice Registered Nurse (APRN).

- Eligibility for State Controlled Substance License II through V.
- and
- Eligibility for Federal DEA Certificate II through V.
- and
- BLS Certification for Healthcare Providers.
- and
- Other certifications as required (e.g., ACLS, PALS, TNCC, NRP).
Preferred Qualifications:
Master's degree or higher.
Relevant certification from a recognized certifying organization such as the American Nursing Credentialing Center (ANCC) or the American Academy of Nurse Practitioners.
