Job Summary

Konecranes Nuclear Equip and Services LLC is seeking a skilled Overhead Crane Service Technician to join our team. As a key member of our service team, you will be responsible for performing inspections, maintenance, and repairs on electric overhead traveling cranes and hoists at various customer locations.

Key Responsibilities
  • Perform on-site electrical, mechanical, structural, and electronic troubleshooting to determine the cause of equipment malfunctions and establish the necessary repairs.
  • Conduct visual inspections and use test procedures and equipment to diagnose issues and make corrective recommendations to customers.
  • Document findings and make corrective recommendations to customers, including a written safety notification of any observed or known safety concerns.
  • Consult with customers regarding all repair and safety-related issues and discuss recommendations to assist customers with improving their material handling applications.
  • Complete and provide proper electronic documentation using established company digital tools, obtaining customer signatures and acceptance.
  • Produce sales leads during service calls and report to the service office, following established guidelines.
  • Read and understand the contents of all OSHA, ANSI, CMAA, HMI, and other industry codes and regulations.
  • Complete service reports and other required documents in an accurate, neat, and legible manner and submit them promptly and following established guidelines.
  • Communicate with the service office and planner, following established practices.
  • Maintain all company-issued equipment, vehicles, and assets in a safe and proper working order.
  • Maintain a supply of forms, literature, inventory, and miscellaneous materials in the service vehicle.
  • Follow all established safety rules and procedures, including those established by the customer.
Requirements
  • Associate degree in Industrial Electrical and/or Mechanical Technology or related field or equivalent vocational/technical training and experience.
  • Minimum one (1) year experience involving electrical troubleshooting and mechanical repair.
  • Must have and maintain a good driving record, including a valid driver's license.
  • Must be willing to work off the ground and be available for on-call service as part of the service office rotation.
  • Must be able to frequently lift up to 25 lbs, lift up to 50 lbs on a daily basis, and lift up to 75 lbs and 100 lbs on rare occasions.
Working Conditions

This is a safety-sensitive position. The technician will be frequently exposed to heat, cold, noise, and heights. The position requires frequent climbing, balancing, stooping/crouching, and overhead reaching, as well as occasional pushing, pulling, kneeling, and crawling.
