Position Overview:

We are in search of a highly qualified and seasoned Plumber II to become a part of our Service Experts HVAC and Plumbing division. This role involves overseeing plumbing projects, executing advanced installations, conducting repairs, performing maintenance, and troubleshooting plumbing systems. The ideal candidate will have a deep understanding of plumbing codes and regulations, exceptional problem-solving skills, and strong leadership capabilities.

Core Responsibilities:

  • Diagnose and resolve customer issues in a professional and timely manner, identifying potential problems to prevent unexpected breakdowns.
  • Maintain and repair plumbing systems, including water, steam, chemicals, and fuel systems, by replacing defective components and clearing blockages.
  • Assemble and install pipe sections and fittings using various tools and techniques.
  • Mark and cut openings for pipe installations, ensuring precise measurements.
  • Install plumbing fixtures and appliances, anchoring supports as necessary.
  • Review blueprints and specifications to determine installation requirements.
  • Conduct pressure tests on plumbing systems to identify leaks.
  • Supervise helpers in the installation and maintenance of plumbing systems.
  • Ensure proper maintenance and accountability of company property and tools.
  • Maintain relevant plumbing licenses in compliance with regulations.
  • Follow standard operating procedures and ensure company vehicles are stocked appropriately.
  • Represent the company with professionalism and integrity in all interactions.
  • Perform additional duties as assigned.

Health & Safety Responsibilities:

  • Report unsafe conditions or acts to management immediately.
  • Correct any substandard practices within your control.
  • Utilize personal protective equipment (PPE) as required.
  • Participate in safety initiatives and report any incidents promptly.
  • Contribute to the development of safety plans to mitigate risks.

Qualifications:

  • High school diploma or equivalent.
  • Proven experience as a Plumber I or 5-10+ years in plumbing.
  • Thorough knowledge of plumbing codes and best practices.
  • Experience in interpreting blueprints and technical drawings.
  • Strong understanding of plumbing systems and tools.
  • Exceptional problem-solving and troubleshooting skills.
  • Effective communication and leadership abilities.
  • Ability to work independently and collaboratively.
  • Physical stamina to lift heavy objects.
  • Valid driver's license.
