We are seeking a qualified Senior Electrical Engineer to oversee the electrical operations of a vital data center. The Electrical Lead will be accountable for the management and upkeep of the electrical systems within the facility, adhering to the company's established protocols. The data center operates continuously throughout the year, and the Lead Electrical Engineer will play a key role in guiding the Electrical Technicians while fostering the client relationship.

Key Responsibilities:
  • Manage routine and emergency services for advanced critical systems, including medium voltage switchgear, diesel generators, UPS systems, power distribution units, fire suppression systems, security systems, and building management systems.
  • Conduct troubleshooting, diagnostics, preventive maintenance, and emergency repairs on critical facility equipment as scheduled.
  • Oversee the management of subcontractors and vendors on-site, ensuring compliance with established standards and procedures.
  • Assist in preparing analyses and reports on the data center's infrastructure, develop project plans, and provide updates to the Critical Facilities Manager.
  • Maintain the local client relationship and serve as the primary point of contact for the company at this location.
  • Establish performance metrics, conduct analyses, and generate reports on all aspects of facility operations and maintenance.
  • Collaborate with IT managers and other leaders to coordinate projects, manage capacity, and enhance safety, performance, reliability, and efficiency.
  • Create and manage Method of Procedures (MOPs) and Standard Operating Procedures (SOPs) for all work on critical facility equipment.
  • Schedule work activities in accordance with change control protocols.
  • Ensure a constant state of readiness to achieve the mission goal of 99.999% uptime.
  • Assist with the management of the Computerized Maintenance Management System (CMMS) database.
Qualifications:
  • 5 to 10+ years of experience in data center or critical facility operations and maintenance.
  • Strong understanding of critical power systems and electrical equipment, including UPS, generators, switchgear, power distribution units, and building monitoring systems.
  • Experience supervising or managing technical staff in critical facilities.
  • Relevant certifications or training in electrical engineering.
  • Familiarity with electrical trades is advantageous.
  • Proven experience in customer interfacing and support.
  • Excellent verbal and written communication skills.
  • Military experience is a significant plus, particularly in electrical or mechanical roles.
  • Proficient in various computer systems and applications, including CMMS for inventory tracking.
