The Role:

As a Principal Incident Response Analyst, you will act as a key technical authority and leader within our Incident Response team, operating from a flexible location.

Your primary responsibility will be to lead as an incident commander, orchestrating responses to intricate security threats while enhancing our incident management framework.

You will oversee investigations derived from various intelligence sources, including threat intelligence.

Your position is crucial for making decisive choices, refining incident response processes, and liaising with stakeholders across all levels, including executive leadership.

Utilizing your extensive knowledge, you will spearhead initiatives that strengthen our cybersecurity posture and promote a culture of ongoing improvement and resilience.


Here's What You'll Do:
Act as a strategic partner and drive essential incident response initiatives.

Take command during critical incidents as the incident commander, guiding a team of incident response analysts to swiftly triage, contain, and resolve security events.

Formulate and execute strategies to improve internal efficiency and standardize incident response procedures, leveraging advanced technologies for enhanced performance.

Create and maintain a detailed incident response playbook and runbooks, ensuring continuous enhancement and alignment with industry best practices.
Serve as a key decision-maker in uncertain situations, providing clear guidance and coordination to effectively resolve incidents.
Collaborate with cross-functional teams to establish objectives, drive progress, and achieve significant outcomes in cybersecurity.
Develop and monitor performance metrics and benchmarks through data analytics to assess the effectiveness of the incident response team.
Manage relationships with security vendors, including the formulation of KPIs and cost-effective billing solutions.
Establish and maintain internal security knowledge management processes and capabilities.

Here's What You'll Bring to the Table:

A minimum of 10 years of experience in cybersecurity with a substantial focus on incident response, security operations, and threat intelligence.

Demonstrated success as an incident commander, effectively communicating and delegating tasks to incident response analysts of varying expertise.

Experience in developing, refining, and enhancing incident response playbooks and runbooks, ensuring robust and comprehensive incident management processes.
Proven ability to coordinate and make critical decisions in ambiguous and high-pressure environments.
Technical proficiency in managing complex security incidents, with a deep understanding of the current cybersecurity landscape and threats.
Strong leadership capabilities with the ability to act as a change agent within the organization.
Excellent analytical, critical thinking, and problem-solving skills, with a keen attention to detail.
Exceptional communication skills, capable of conveying complex security issues to a diverse range of stakeholders, including executive leadership.
Experience in technology change management, project management, business process management, and system implementation.
Strong organizational and planning skills, with the ability to manage multiple projects and priorities effectively.

Base compensation for these positions may vary based on factors such as work location, prior education and experience, job-related knowledge, and demonstrated skills.

Compensation decisions are made based on the facts and circumstances of each case.
