Position Summary:
The Corporate Security Incident Response Manager plays a pivotal role in addressing and investigating incidents of workplace violence. This position is essential for fostering and sustaining relationships with key stakeholders across the organization. The Manager collaborates closely with various security teams, focusing on threat assessment and risk management related to both internal and external threats, inappropriate communications, harassment, and other forms of workplace violence.
Utilizing advanced technology, analytical skills, and effective interviewing techniques, the Manager is dedicated to safeguarding personnel, sensitive information, and organizational assets. As a member of the Corporate Security Incident Management (CSIM) team, this role contributes to enhancing the expertise and resources available to local security and Human Resources partners across global locations.
This position acts as a vital liaison with regional and local teams to ensure a secure and safe working environment. The Manager reports directly to the CSIM Lead and must demonstrate the requisite knowledge, skills, and abilities to fulfill the responsibilities outlined below. This role requires in-person attendance.
Key Responsibilities:
- Investigate workplace-related incidents, including threats from external sources and internal issues such as violence or suicidal threats.
- Develop collaborative partnerships and engage in Multi-Disciplinary Teams with Security, Human Resources, Employee Relations, and Legal departments, focusing on incident prevention and awareness training.
- Conduct interviews with victims, witnesses, and relevant parties using established investigative techniques.
- Provide support and resources to victims.
- Perform threat assessments with an emphasis on risk mitigation and collaboration with business partners.
- Exhibit strong written and verbal communication skills, along with effective interpersonal abilities.
- Manage multiple investigations simultaneously, prioritizing tasks according to client-imposed deadlines.
- Engage in training and mentoring opportunities.
- Document and preserve evidence related to investigations, maintaining an organized workflow.
- Utilize structured investigative processes and case management systems to track and resolve investigations, identifying trends to mitigate future risks.
- Analyze surveillance footage and access control data to uncover behaviors and potential evidence.
- Employ both automated and manual tools for investigations, including various software applications.
- Pass a comprehensive background check.
- Compile and present case management metrics.
- Perform additional duties as assigned.
Qualifications:
- Bachelor's Degree (preferred).
- Minimum of 4 years of experience in Corporate Investigations, Law Enforcement, Security Operations, or related fields.
- Familiarity with professional threat assessment organizations is preferred.
- Experience in conducting complex corporate investigations.
- Willingness to adopt new methods for addressing familiar challenges.
- Ability to work collaboratively in a diverse corporate culture.
- Experience with workplace violence investigations using structured judgment tools is preferred.
- Familiarity with the P.E.A.C.E. interview method is a plus.
- Strong interpersonal communication skills for conveying security-related information.
- Ability to analyze and evaluate data effectively.
- Adaptability to perform under stress in urgent situations.
- Technical proficiency with computers and electronic devices.
- Empathy and effective communication skills during interactions.
- Discretion in handling sensitive and confidential information.
