Job Summary

We are seeking a highly skilled and physically fit Equipment Operator to join our team at the Hall County Recycling Center. As an Equipment Operator, you will be responsible for operating medium-sized equipment, including forklifts and bobcats, and performing manual labor in a fast-paced recycling environment.

Key Responsibilities
  • Operate forklifts and bobcats in a safe and productive manner to move and stack bales, load and unload trucks, and perform other tasks as needed.
  • Perform manual labor, including lifting, bending, and carrying heavy objects, to maintain a safe and clean work environment.
  • Complete pre-operation and post-operation inspections on all equipment to ensure safe and efficient operation.
  • Maintain accurate records of equipment usage and maintenance.
  • Collaborate with other team members to achieve recycling center goals and objectives.
Requirements
  • High School Diploma or equivalent required.
  • Class C Driver's License and a satisfactory Motor Vehicle Record (MVR) required.
  • Ability to lift up to 50 pounds and work in a fast-paced environment.
  • Basic to intermediate knowledge of and skill in operating various types of medium-sized equipment.
  • Ability to take and follow directions from supervisor.
Working Conditions

The Equipment Operator will work in a recycling center environment, which may include exposure to dust, dirt, and other environmental hazards. The position requires regular attendance and the ability to work in a team environment.

This is a safety-sensitive position, and incumbents will be subject to random drug testing.
