Senior Research Administration Specialist

Position Overview:
- Oversee the administration of pre-award and post-award processes for research funding
- Collaborate effectively with academic staff on financial oversight, grant applications, and regulatory compliance
- Prepare detailed project budgets and generate financial statements
- Act as a key point of contact between various departments and funding agencies
- Ensure adherence to institutional and governmental regulations
- Engage in process optimization and provide mentorship to junior staff
Qualifications:
Education & Experience: A bachelor’s degree combined with a minimum of three years of relevant professional experience
Key Skills:
- Familiarity with federal and state regulations
- Excellent analytical and communication abilities
- Advanced proficiency in Excel and online management tools
- Capacity to work autonomously as well as part of a team
- Meticulous attention to detail and strong organizational capabilities
- Proficient in project management techniques
Physical Demands:
- Ability to perform various computer-based tasks
- Occasional lifting of items weighing up to 20 pounds
