Senior Research Administration Specialist

Position Overview:

  • Oversee the administration of pre-award and post-award processes for research funding
  • Collaborate effectively with academic staff on financial oversight, grant applications, and regulatory compliance
  • Prepare detailed project budgets and generate financial statements
  • Act as a key point of contact between various departments and funding agencies
  • Ensure adherence to institutional and governmental regulations
  • Engage in process optimization and provide mentorship to junior staff

Qualifications:

Education & Experience: A bachelor’s degree combined with a minimum of three years of relevant professional experience

Key Skills:

  • Familiarity with federal and state regulations
  • Excellent analytical and communication abilities
  • Advanced proficiency in Excel and online management tools
  • Capacity to work autonomously as well as part of a team
  • Meticulous attention to detail and strong organizational capabilities
  • Proficient in project management techniques

Physical Demands:

  • Ability to perform various computer-based tasks
  • Occasional lifting of items weighing up to 20 pounds
