Job Summary

Stanford University's Neuromuscular Division of Neurology is seeking a highly skilled Clinical Research Coordinator Associate to join a dynamic research team dedicated to advancing the understanding and treatment of neuromuscular disorders.

Key Responsibilities
  • Coordinate the oversight and implementation of research protocols, ensuring efficiency and regulatory compliance.
  • Perform laboratory tasks, combining basic molecular research with translational and clinical research.
  • Run the division's neuromuscular research studies and industry-sponsored drug trials, including gene therapies, small molecule drug trials, and longitudinal natural history studies.
  • Work with neuromuscular patients in clinic, educating them on Stanford neuromuscular research studies, consenting participants, and coordinating sample collections during clinic visits.
  • Manage research project databases, develop flow sheets, and complete study documents/case report forms.
  • Ensure compliance with research protocols, review and audit case report forms for completion and accuracy with source documents.
  • Prepare regulatory submissions and ensure institutional Review Board renewals are completed.
  • Monitor expenditures and adherence to study budgets, resolving billing issues in collaboration with finance and/or management staff.
  • Interact with the principal investigator regularly, ensuring patient safety and adherence to proper study conduct.
Requirements
  • Two year college degree and two years related work experience or a Bachelor's degree in a related field or an equivalent combination of related education and relevant experience.
  • Strong interpersonal skills, proficiency with Microsoft Office, and knowledge of medical terminology.
  • Society of Clinical Research Associates or Association of Clinical Research Professionals certification is preferred.
Working Conditions

Occasional evening and weekend hours.
