Position Summary:
The Clinical Laboratory Scientist, reporting to the Laboratory Director and Technical Supervisors, is responsible for executing technical procedures and Quality Control in the Clinical Lab. This includes operating and maintaining laboratory instruments, ensuring accurate reporting, and performing clerical tasks as required. All laboratory staff members are expected to uphold the mission and philosophy of the hospital by demonstrating care, courtesy, and confidentiality towards patients, visitors, colleagues, and staff.
Every laboratory staff member is accountable for the accuracy of their work as outlined in their Professional Standards as Clinical Laboratory Scientists or Healthcare Workers. Staff will maintain confidentiality of all reports, ensure the integrity of patient sample identification, and perform designated tasks to comply with all regulatory standards.
Qualifications:
CLS License required.
Compensation: Pay range of $69.86. Individual wages are determined based on various factors, including qualifications and experience.
Compliance: Employment practices will adhere to federal, state, and local laws regarding mandatory vaccination of the workforce. Proof of vaccination or an approved exemption will be required prior to the start date.
