Job Title: Flow Cytometry Clinical Laboratory Scientist

Job Summary:
Allied Search Partners is seeking a highly skilled Flow Cytometry Clinical Laboratory Scientist to join our team. The successful candidate will be responsible for performing daily high complexity laboratory testing procedures on patient samples, including specimen accessioning, sample preparation, analysis, review, and reporting of results within the regulated quality management system of the CAP certified laboratory.

Key Responsibilities:
  • Perform daily high complexity laboratory testing procedures on patient samples.
  • Accomplish specimen accessioning, sample preparation, analysis, review, and reporting of results within the regulated quality management system of the CAP certified laboratory.
  • Maintain, prepare, and qualify solutions and reagents used in the laboratory according to protocol.
  • Monitor quality control and document all corrective actions taken when test systems deviate from the laboratory's established performance specifications.
  • Demonstrate initiative in making suggestions to improve efficiency and productivity and provide consistent feedback.
  • Maintain laboratory in a clean, functional state, as well as cleaning, performing or scheduling equipment and instrument maintenance/calibration/certification, as required.

Requirements:
  • Licensed in the State of CA to perform high complexity molecular testing (California CLS license).
  • 3+ years of equivalent experience (high complexity testing) preferred.
  • Ability to perform manual molecular techniques.
  • Facility with EXCEL, MSWord.
  • Ability to work in a fast-paced deadline-driven environment.
  • Demonstrated ability to understand priorities and work accordingly.
  • Demonstrated attention to detail and honest communication regarding errors and misunderstanding.

Work Environment:
This position operates in a laboratory environment and involves frequent standing and exposure to hazardous chemicals and biohazardous materials.

Physical Demands:
The employee is regularly required to talk or hear. The employee frequently is required to stand, walk, use hands to finger, handle or feel, and reach with hands and arms. The employee must frequently lift and/or move up to 10 pounds and occasionally lift and/or move up to 25 pounds. Specific vision abilities required by this job include close vision, distance vision, color vision, peripheral vision, depth perception, and ability to adjust focus.
