Job Description

We are seeking a highly motivated Postdoctoral Scientist to join our team in the field of Epidemiology and Public Health. The ideal candidate will have a strong background in epidemiology, public health, or a related field, and experience in community partnerships, particularly within Spanish-speaking communities.

The successful candidate will have the opportunity to work independently, but in close cooperation with the Principal Investigator and other Research Scientists, to perform routine and complex laboratory procedures throughout the training period. They will also have the chance to develop, adapt, and implement new research techniques and protocols, analyze and interpret data, and participate in publications and presentations as author or co-author.

Primary Duties and Responsibilities:
  • Assist in the preparation of grant proposals, but not be responsible for generating grant funds.
  • Participate in publications and presentations as author or co-author.
  • Work with the Principal Investigator to develop a training plan.
  • Design studies and perform analyses with guidance from the Principal Investigator.
  • Develop, adapt, and implement new research techniques and protocols.
  • Analyze, interpret, summarize, and compile data.
  • Perform routine and complex laboratory procedures throughout the training period.
Qualifications:
  • Doctorate (MD, PhD, VMD, or DDS) in a field directly related to the area of research specialization.
