About the Role

We are seeking a highly skilled and experienced Global Account Manager to join our team at Wesco International. As a key member of our sales team, you will be responsible for maintaining executive-level client relationships at large multinational organizations and providing consultative selling to support strategic long-term objectives and profitability of the organization.

Key Responsibilities
  • Drive Revenue Growth: Ensure achievement of global sales revenue targets and identify opportunities for growth and expansion.
  • Cultivate Executive Relationships: Develop and maintain strong relationships with executive-level clients across countries, both internally and externally.
  • Negotiate Contracts: Negotiate contracts, master supply agreements, and master contractual agreements, with a strong understanding of legal contract terms and their financial implications.
  • Develop Strategic Plans: Develop and execute strategies to attract, grow, and maintain global customer relationships, including executive relationships, customer mapping, and reference selling.
  • Lead Account Management: Accountable to senior management globally to lead the development and execution of the Strategic Account Plans and provide tactical and strategic leadership in opportunity identification and issue resolution.
  • Pursue New Agreements: Pursue new agreements, Value-Add/Total Cost of Ownership (TCO) commitments, and increasing customer wallet-share.
  • Manage Pipeline: Maintain and manage a pipeline of opportunities at named accounts, including Renewals, Projects, and share improvement opportunities.
  • Collaborate with Suppliers: Engage strategic supplier senior sales and senior management resources to enlist support and create solutions that adhere to corporate supplier strategy implications.
  • Communicate Progress: Communicate Customer Activity, Opportunity Status, Renewal Status, and Strategic Project progress to executive team.
Qualifications
  • Education: High School diploma or equivalent required; Bachelor's degree in Sales, Business Administration, Engineering, or relevant field preferred.
  • Experience: 5+ years of proven sales experience in outside sales or global account management, with a history of success maintaining and developing key relationships.
  • Skills: Strong communication and interpersonal skills, with an aptitude for building strong client relationships; ability to strategically manage large projects and navigate complex customer landscapes.
  • Travel: Ability to travel 25% - 50%.
