Principal Water Resources Engineer

AECOM is seeking a highly skilled Principal Water Resources Engineer to join our team in San Diego, California. As a key member of our water resources team, you will be responsible for leading and coordinating technical expertise for mid-to-large-size projects, including dams, reservoirs, levees, canals, tunnels, pipelines, flood protection systems, and conveyance facilities.
Key Responsibilities- Coordinate and provide technical expertise for mid-to-large-size projects
- Lead technical client relationships and play a major role in selling
- Lead discipline department efforts to grow technical expertise
- Lead technical business development work
- Provide specialized technical input to studies and design for staff's specific area of expertise
- Approve and sign off on work
- Leader in one or more areas of technology
- Provide estimates for the engineering budget and schedule to meet requirements on large, complex projects
- Bachelor's degree and 10+ years of related experience or demonstrated equivalency of experience and/or education
- 20+ years of relevant civil/geotechnical engineering experience
- Experience performing civil/geotechnical design for water resources projects
- Project management experience
- Active California PE License or Geotechnical GE License
