Job Summary

Advocate Aurora Health is seeking a highly skilled Vascular Sonographer to join our Diagnostic Imaging team. As a key member of our team, you will be responsible for performing a comprehensive array of sophisticated abdominal, OB/GYN, vascular, and small parts procedures.

Key Responsibilities
  • Diagnostic Imaging
    • Perform high-quality ultrasound examinations to diagnose and treat various medical conditions.
    • Operate and maintain ultrasound equipment, ensuring optimal performance and safety.
    • Collaborate with radiologists and other healthcare professionals to ensure accurate diagnoses and effective treatment plans.
  • Patient Care
    • Provide exceptional patient care, ensuring comfort, safety, and dignity throughout the examination process.
    • Communicate effectively with patients, families, and healthcare teams to ensure seamless care coordination.
  • Quality Assurance
    • Participate in quality assurance activities to ensure compliance with regulatory standards and best practices.
    • Contribute to the development and implementation of quality improvement initiatives.
  • Professional Development
    • Stay current with the latest ultrasound technologies, techniques, and best practices through ongoing education and training.
    • Participate in professional development opportunities to enhance skills and knowledge.
Requirements
  • Education
    • Associate's or Bachelor's degree in Allied Health or a related field.
  • Certifications
    • Registered Diagnostic Medical Sonographer (RDMS) certification in Abdomen and OB/GYN.
    • Registered Vascular Technologist (RVT) certification.
  • Skills
    • Excellent communication and interpersonal skills.
    • Ability to work effectively in a fast-paced environment.
    • Strong problem-solving and critical thinking skills.
