Job Summary

The Operations Manager is responsible for developing, managing, and delivering support services to our sales force. This role acts as a liaison between customers, our sales force, and distribution, ensuring seamless communication and efficient operations.

Key Responsibilities
  • Maintain all sales support activities at the branch, ensuring timely and accurate execution.
  • Train sales staff on sales-related systems, databases, and associated processes, enhancing their skills and productivity.
  • Provide customer support, including order processing, advising customers of product shortages, expected delivery dates, and price changes, ensuring exceptional customer experience.
  • Implement and maintain pricing per established policies, ensuring compliance and accuracy.
  • Manage collections process and maintain overall responsibility for outstanding invoices, ensuring timely payment and minimizing losses.
  • Responsible for all Accounts Payable activities within the branch, including expense, inventory, and freight invoices, and debit memos, ensuring accurate and timely processing.
  • Prepare reports related to customer inquiries, sales trends, customer complaints, delivery, or service problems, providing valuable insights for business improvement.
  • Assist customers and suppliers to resolve order problems, ensuring prompt and effective resolution.
  • Manage inventory for the Branch, including the day-to-day maintenance of inventory levels through replenishing stock to meet annual turn goals, ensuring optimal inventory levels.
  • May fill in for other lower-level roles within the branch, demonstrating adaptability and flexibility.
Requirements
  • Typically requires a high school diploma or GED and five (5) or more years of related experience or an equivalent combination.
  • Proficient in Microsoft Office, with excellent communication and presentation skills to all levels of employees.
  • Industry and sales experience preferred, with the ability to perform financial calculations and generate reports.
  • Demonstrated people and leadership skills with a record of achieving positive business results, with the ability to manage multiple responsibilities and projects.
  • Professional, self-motivated employee with excellent interpersonal skills, exemplifying an exemplary work ethic and decision-making ability.
Physical Demands

May be required to be on-call on nights or weekends, depending on need.

Licenses & Certifications

Excellent driving record preferred. All company vehicles are subject to continuous video monitoring.
