The Operations Supervisor plays a crucial role in ensuring the smooth operation of our maintenance facilities. As a key member of our team, you will be responsible for overseeing the daily activities of our technicians, customer service coordinators, and service employees. Your primary objective will be to ensure that our customers' needs are met while maintaining high-quality standards, safety protocols, and financial objectives.
Key Responsibilities- Workflow Management: Analyze work requirements, plan and schedule tasks, assign work to technicians, track productivity, and optimize shift and shop meetings.
- Labor Management: Provide guidance, training, and development opportunities for assigned personnel, and manage performance to ensure high-quality results.
- Customer Management: Foster strong relationships with customers, resolve issues, and ensure customer satisfaction and retention.
- Asset Management: Oversee the maintenance and appearance of assigned locations, including adherence to 65 standards, and manage shop tooling and equipment requirements.
- Quality Management: Conduct quality inspections, perform root cause analysis, and implement corrective actions to ensure high-quality repairs and maintenance.
- Financial Management: Ensure shift/shop performance meets financial objectives, manage maintenance operations budget, and control costs.
- Education: High school diploma or equivalent required; associate's or bachelor's degree preferred.
- Experience: 1-3 years of experience in a maintenance operations environment; demonstrated success in a Ryder role may be substituted for this requirement.
- Skills and Abilities: Strong vehicle diagnostics and repair knowledge, Microsoft Office intermediate skills, and ability to represent Ryder professionally and interact with customer management.
