The Billing Operations Specialist will play a crucial role in supporting the Central Billing and Accounting departments. This position requires a commitment to delivering exceptional customer service to both attorneys and clients by becoming well-versed in all aspects of billing.
Key Responsibilities
The specialist will act as a vital link between assigned attorneys and the Billing Department, necessitating flexibility and a dedication to quality to foster strong working relationships. Responsibilities include:
- Managing a significant workload while collaborating with team members to ensure timely and accurate task completion.
- Developing a comprehensive understanding of billing matters to effectively identify and resolve any discrepancies.

- Exceptional written communication skills and a professional demeanor on the phone.
- Able to engage with individuals at all organizational levels, including senior executives and attorneys.
- Meticulous attention to detail and the capacity to perform well under pressure to meet both personal and team objectives.
- Skilled in managing multiple priorities and delegating tasks effectively to meet deadlines.
- Possesses a strong sense of ownership and accountability.
- Willingness to work additional hours as needed to support departmental demands.
Experience Requirements
Preferred Background:
- At least three years of billing experience, preferably in a legal or law firm context.
- Proficiency in CMS Aderant or Elite billing software is essential; advanced knowledge of CMS Aderant applications is highly desirable.
- Strong technological proficiency, particularly with Microsoft Office Suite, especially Excel.
- A degree in Business, Accounting, Finance, or a related field is preferred but not mandatory.
