Job SummaryThe Billing Specialist will be responsible for generating invoices, providing support documents, and performing billing research activities for the Finance Team. This role requires excellent analytical skills, strong communication and presentation skills, and the ability to work independently.
Key Responsibilities- Generate invoices and provide support documents for the Finance Team.
- Perform billing research activities to ensure accurate and timely invoicing.
- Collaborate with other departments to capture missing support documents needed for billing transactions.
- Research and compile supporting documents for client invoices.
- Ensure invoice support documentation is accurate and reconciles to the GL expense and payroll schedules provided to the client.
- Collect financial and operational data for programs in support of the monthly billing process and grant close-out activities.
- Ensure the appropriate documentation to support reimbursement of expenditures is accurate, collected, and stored on a timely basis in accordance with contract requirements.
- Support grant and contract invoicing and compliance activities by ensuring all required documents and reports are extracted and electronically stored promptly.
- Assist with various accounts receivable activities, including data entry of online invoices and update of invoice templates.
- High school diploma or equivalent required; Associate degree in Accounting or Business Administration preferred.
- Two years of accounting or billing experience required; grant billing experience preferred.
- Advanced Excel skills and analytical skills required; familiarity with Sage Intacct accounting software preferred.
- Hourly rate: $24.33 - $30.23.
