  • Vendor Management: Oversee and manage vendors, including transcription services, coding software, and contract labor.
  • Continuous Improvement: Research, develop, and implement HIM workflows, focusing on employee engagement, retention, and workforce development.

Requirements:

  • Education: Master's Degree in HIM, Healthcare Administration, Business, or related field.
  • Experience: Minimum 5 years of progressive experience in a healthcare setting, preferably within HIM, including a depth of subject matter expertise.
  • Licenses/Certification/Registration: Registered Health Information Administrator (RHIA) or Registered Health Information Technician (RHIT) credential preferred.

Skills and Abilities:

  • Excellent analytical and research skills.
  • Strong relationship building and group facilitation skills.
  • Accuracy in advice given and written and oral communications.
  • Ability to recognize and seek additional information when needed.
  • Proficiencies in utilizing Epic, Word, and Excel.
