Job Summary:

The Arizona Department of Gaming is seeking a highly skilled and experienced Special Agent to join our Intelligence Unit. As a Special Agent, you will be responsible for investigating complaints of illegal gambling and ensuring compliance with the Arizona Tribal-State Gaming Compact, State, and Federal laws.

Key Responsibilities:

  • Conduct thorough and comprehensive investigations of alleged violations of the Arizona Tribal-State Gaming Compact, State, and Federal laws.
  • Document, gather, and preserve evidence for criminal and civil prosecution.
  • Work in an undercover capacity, utilizing surveillance techniques and equipment to document criminal activity.
  • Conduct interviews of witnesses and confidential informants, prepare complex affidavits and search warrants, and testify in hearings, grand jury, and court proceedings.
  • Participate in the execution of search warrants, arrest warrants, and make arrests where appropriate.
  • Carry a firearm pursuant to the ADG policy and be responsible for the health, safety, and welfare of the public and the gaming tribes.

Requirements:

  • Must be a current or former sworn police officer with unrestricted current certification by the Arizona Peace Officer Standards and Training Board (AZ P.O.S.T).
  • Previous experience in police undercover work is preferred.
  • Must have proficient interview and interrogation techniques, drafting and executing search warrants, drafting affidavits, and testifying in various courts of law.
