Ochsner Health is seeking a highly skilled and experienced Senior Investigator to join our team in the field of microbial disease research. As a key member of our research team, you will be responsible for developing and executing research projects, collaborating with clinicians, and publishing research findings in peer-reviewed journals.

Key Responsibilities
  • Develop and execute research projects in microbial disease, including the study of antimicrobial resistance and rapid diagnostic testing.
  • Collaborate with clinicians to support existing studies and develop new research initiatives.
  • Conduct complex technical analyses and publish research findings in peer-reviewed journals.
  • Train laboratory staff and clinical research coordinators on research protocols and procedures.
  • Direct the work of the research team and serve as a scientific leader in the field of microbial disease research.
Requirements
  • Master's degree in biological science or related field.
  • Track record of publications and completed post-doctoral training.
  • 5 years of relevant professional-level experience.
  • Nationally recognized informatics certification or membership to a national society.
Preferred Qualifications
  • PhD in biological science or related field from an accredited school or MD/DO.
  • Track record of investigator-initiated research and related funding.
