Job Summary

We are seeking a highly skilled and detail-oriented individual to join our team as a Senior Protocol Analyst at Medix™. This is a unique opportunity to work in a dynamic environment where you will be responsible for providing high-level support to researchers and Principle Investigators (PIs) in ensuring compliance with animal research regulations and institutional policies.

Key Responsibilities
  • Conduct administrative pre-reviews of moderately complex animal use protocols submitted to IACUCs
  • Provide IACUC- and other compliance-related training, development, and coordination
  • Collaborate with faculty and staff investigators to ensure IACUC protocols conform to all University policies, IACUC requirements, and government regulation of the use of vertebrate animals in research
  • Provide timely and accurate guidance to investigators on the preparation and submission of new or renewal IACUC protocol applications, protocol amendments/revisions, and related documents
Requirements
  • Bachelor's degree and 4 years experience in IACUC related program coordination or animal research experience
  • Or High school diploma/equivalent AND ten years' in the areas of animal care and use, institutional review, research administration and/or audit, or other areas of research, compliance, and/or oversight
  • Certified Professional IACUC Administrator (CPIA) certification or obtained within one year of eligibility and maintain certification throughout employment
Preferred Qualifications
  • RVT/LVT/CVT credentialed veterinary technician or LATG certification through AALAS
Work Schedule
  • Monday-Friday 8am-4:30pm
