Job Summary

Crawford & Company is seeking a highly skilled Senior Claim Examiner-Liability to join our team. As a key member of our claims team, you will be responsible for investigating and settling complex claims in a timely and equitable manner.

Key Responsibilities

  • Investigate and settle advanced, large loss, complex claims under minimal supervision.
  • Review coverages, determine liability and compensability, and secure information to settle claims.
  • Analyze claims activity and prepare reports for clients, carriers, and management.
  • Establish reserves using independent judgment and expertise, and authorize payments within scope of authority.
  • Develop subrogation and third-party recovery potential and follow reclaim procedures.

Requirements

  • Bachelor's degree or equivalent experience.
  • Technical claims investigations/settling experience with 4-8 years in Claims or similar organization.
  • Ability to work independently and assimilate various technical subjects.
  • Strong written and oral communication, negotiation, and presentation skills.
  • Advanced analytical and problem-solving skills, with the ability to manage and prioritize multiple projects.
