About the Role

AECOM is seeking a highly skilled and motivated Geotechnical Engineer to join our team. As an Entry-Level Geotechnical Engineer, you will play a key role in performing specific and limited portions of a broader assignment of an experienced engineer.

Key Responsibilities
  • Conduct engineering design under the supervision of an experienced engineer.
  • Create designs, calculations, sketches, diagrams, schematic drawings, and final working drawings under the supervision of an experienced engineer.
  • Collect and analyze data under the supervision of an experienced engineer.
  • Perform geotechnical investigation collecting and describing soil/rock samples in the field. Create soil profiles based on data collected during the subsurface investigation program.
  • Use computer software as a tool for solving basic engineering problems including but not limited to foundation, retaining wall and support of excavation design, slope stability and seepage analysis, etc.
  • Perform work in accordance with agreed upon budget and schedule under supervision.
Requirements
  • Bachelor's Degree in Civil Engineering or related field.
  • Valid US Driver's License is required for this position. As a condition of employment, selected candidate must pass a Motor Vehicle Records review.
Preferred Qualifications
  • Experience collecting and analyzing data in order to create designs, sketches, diagrams, schematic drawings and final working drawings.
  • Experience performing calculations and creating geotechnical reports.
  • Experience performing geotechnical investigations and field inspections.
