Position Overview:


BHI Energy is in search of a dynamic and experienced professional engineer to oversee geotechnical engineering initiatives, delivering comprehensive analysis, design, and construction services tailored to our clients' needs.


Key Responsibilities:

  • Direct and manage projects to ensure timely completion, adherence to budget constraints, and alignment with both company and client expectations.
  • Generate detailed geotechnical and subsurface exploration documentation, including reports, specifications, and contract drawings.
  • Formulate work plans and health and safety protocols for field operations.
  • Facilitate, supervise, and coordinate site explorations, design of retaining structures, settlement assessments, slope stability evaluations, and oversight of foundation and earthwork construction.
  • Liaise with subcontractors and materials testing laboratories to ensure project integrity.
  • Guarantee that all project outputs meet established quality benchmarks and regulatory requirements.
  • Cultivate and maintain strong relationships with clients, ensuring high levels of client satisfaction.
  • Collaborate with various stakeholders to clarify project objectives, scope, fees, and deliverables.
Qualifications:

Essential Skills and Experience:

  • Bachelor’s degree in Civil or Geotechnical Engineering.
  • A minimum of 8 years of experience in geotechnical engineering, or a master’s degree with at least 5 years of relevant experience, encompassing subsurface investigations, slope stability, settlement, and subsidence analyses, as well as the design of retaining walls, foundations, and minor civil structures.
  • Professional Engineer (PE) licensure in Pennsylvania is mandatory.
  • Strong written and verbal communication abilities.
  • Proficient in Microsoft Office and Bluebeam software applications.
