Manufacturing Systems Lead

About the Role:

We are seeking a highly skilled Manufacturing Systems Lead to join our team at SpaceX. This is an exciting opportunity to lead the production, assembly, and integration of 3D printed components and welded components for our cutting-edge projects.

Responsibilities:
  • Lead cross-functional teams to drive supplier root cause analysis, resolve complex manufacturing discrepancies, and implement efficient corrective actions.
  • Develop and implement future state production systems for all products, ensuring increased reusability and refurbishment.
  • Fully develop, qualify, and implement new production processes and improve existing ones.
  • Guide new and existing products through outsourcing vendors, developing stable products and relationships.
Requirements:
  • Bachelor of science in engineering from an ABET-accredited institution or equivalent experience.
  • Minimum of 1 year of machining and assembly experience from industry OR collegiate engineering projects such as Formula SAE, Baja SAE, Design Build Fly, etc.
  • Strong mechanical intuition, engineering fundamentals, GD&T, and ability to foresee manufacturing challenges from initial design.
  • Demonstrated ability developing relationships and influencing cross-functional teams.
Estimated Salary:

$120,000 - $180,000 per year, depending on qualifications and experience.
